Thandie Newton Shares Photo of 2-Year-Old Son Breastfeeding: ‘This Is What My Body Is Made For’

For Thandie Newton, breast is best — at least when it comes to feeding her own son.

On Saturday, the British mom of three shared a selfie on Instagram showing her breastfeeding her 2-year-old son Booker Jombe at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, England.

“Perfect happiness,” the award-winning Crash actress, 43, wrote alongside the photo. “This is what my body is made for.

“And the rest is my choice,” she finished, tacking on the hashtag, “#Freedom.”

Thandie Newton‘s son Booker Jombe is one lucky man: The 11-week-old has a trio of ladies doting on him day and night.

“I think he thinks he’s got three mommies,” the Rogue star joked on the TODAY show Thursday. “He’s got a 13-year-old, a 9-year-old and a … 27-year-old.”

Newton is actually 41, but she did get the ages of daughters Nico and Ripley right. The proud mama had all three children with a midwife at home, noting on TODAY that her boy was born “on the bathroom floor.”

“I’d never been in hospital as a child or as an adult really, and I just associated hospital with being ill,” she explained of her decision. “And I felt beautiful and healthy and wonderful when I was pregnant, and being at home was the place I felt most relaxed and comfortable.”

On Tuesday, Thandie Newton returned to the spotlight in an eye-popping (literally!) Osman LBD paired with a Christian Louboutin navy clutch and gold heels to the U.K. premiere of Half of a Yellow Sun.

And the new mom-of-three, who welcomed son Booker Jombe on March 3, looked amazing.

The actress kept her hair (worn cascading down her shoulders) and makeup simple, but her ensemble was anything but.

We love the bold eye motif, a signature of the London-based designer. We also love how the simple silhouette hugs all of the star’s new mommy curves.

Thandie Newton Welcomes Son Booker Jombe

It’s a boy for Thandie Newton!

The Crash star, 41, and her husband, writer, director and producer Ol Parker, welcomed their third child on Monday, March 3, she announced via Twitter.

“Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday,” Newton wrote Tuesday.

“My [third] home birth with brilliant independent midwife Caroline Flint —  and Carole Goddard at Phoenix Midwives. Keep independent midwifery alive!”

The couple, who wed in 1998, are already parents to daughters Nico, 9, and Ripley, 13. The girls were at the labor of their little brother, who weighed in at 8 lbs., Newton’s rep tells PEOPLE.

During the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, we were treated to not one, but two chic bump sightings. Although we only expected to see Kate Winslet stepping out on the red carpet in her pregnancy finery, Thandie Newton surprised us all with her baby announcement — and sleek ensemble — while supporting her new film, Half of a Yellow Sun, on Sunday.

The moms-to-be — who are at very different stages in their pregnancies — each opted for looks that really flattered their growing curves. While attending the Saturday premiere of her new movie Labor Day, Winslet wore a navy empire waist silk gown by Jenny Packham and paired it with Roger Vivier‘s luxe Maxi Boite de Nuit clutch.

Newton, on the other hand, donned Stella McCartney‘s Wave Colorblock Sheath ($795), which perfectly accented her beginner belly. And for accessories, the actress went for the designer head-to-toe by pairing her dress with a Stella McCartney gold and black clutch and ankle-strap platform heels.

Third child on the way for Thandie Newton!

The Rogue star, 40, and her husband, writer, director and producer Ol Parker, will welcome another baby next year, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple, who wed in 1998, are already parents to daughters Nico, 8½, and Ripley, 13 this month.

Newton’s pregnancy was announced the same day the couple stepped out for the premiere of her film Half of a Yellow Sun, held Sunday at the Winter Garden Theatre during the Toronto International Film Festival.
