Author Jessica Zucker Honors Pregnancy Loss with Collection of Heartfelt Cards

10/14/2015 at 01:00 PM ET

In recent months, celebrities such as Mark Zuckerberg and Eva Amurri Martino have openly shared the heartbreak that accompanied their miscarriages, thus bringing much-needed awareness to an often isolating experience for many.

With Thursday, Oct. 15, marking the official Infant & Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day, PEOPLE spoke to Jessica Zucker – author, psychologist, and creator of the viral hashtag #IHadaMiscarriage on the New York Times‘ “Motherlode” page about the best way to address a friend or loved one who may have experienced a pregnancy loss.

Zucker, who is on the medical advisory council of Christy Turlington Burns‘ Every Mother Counts organization, explains that when public figures come forward to discuss a topic that is often considered taboo, it truly has a positive impact.

“Celebrities talking about their own personal experience helps normalize the conversation and helps other people feel more inclined to share,” she says.

Paperless Post Launches New Collection of Disney Party Invitations

07/22/2015 at 10:00 AM ET

Your kid’s party invites just got a new look.

Paperless Post has launched a new Disney collection featuring online invitations designed with every princess and talking animal, toy or robot under the sun. Yes, that means Elsa, Anna and Baymax.

The invitations feature hand-painted artwork of everyone’s favorite Disney stories, from the classics to the most recent tales.

And what better way to honor the new line than by pairing up some of the invites with kids whose celeb parents starred as Disney characters themselves? (Celeb parents, you can thank us later.)

We know Kristen Bell has said her daughters have yet to see her famous film Frozen, but once they do, we bet they’ll love the creative cards just as much as the movie.

Yoobi’s Cool-for-School Supplies Give Back to Students in Need

06/16/2014 at 02:00 PM ET

Bang for your buck is one thing, but brilliance for your buck is even better.

A new company called Yoobi, which debuts its products at Target this month, has created a line of perfect-for-kids school supplies that give back to schools in need.

Every time you purchase one of their marker sets, notebooks or other fantastically florescent products, they’ll donate a Yoobi item to a school via classroom packs which are sent across the U.S. (To learn more about how schools are selected, click here).

The company’s co-founder and CEO, Ido Leffler, who is also a father of two girls, dreamed up the idea when he discovered just how drab the school supply aisle can be.

With three kids of her own, Sarah Jessica Parker definitely knows why it’s important to celebrate motherhood.

So the actress and shoe designer teamed up with Hallmark Cards to create a line of greeting cards, stationery and gift wrap, exclusively sold in stores. And just like her style, it’s amazing.

Launching just in time for Mother’s Day, the collection ($4 – $7) will also include seasonal options for birthday, friendship, love, thank you, congratulations, wedding and baby.

“I’m excited to be involved in a project that will give people something tangible and fun, warm and sincere, to hold onto and remember the people and relationships that really matter,” she said.

Soleil Moon Frye: How to Make a Holiday Snow Globe

12/17/2013 at 02:00 PM ET

To get an idea of how many arts and crafts projects Soleil Moon Frye works on with her two daughters, Poet, 8, and Jagger, 5, just take a look around their L.A. home.

“Our tiles are covered in paint. If you look under our couch pillows, there is paint. Our table is covered in paint,” says the expectant mom-of-two. “It’s very, very messy, but that’s the fun of it.”

That fun reaches North Pole-like levels on Christmas Eve, when the former child star, 37, and her husband, producer Jason Goldberg, 43, host a holiday blowout — complete with a crafting area for the littlest guests.

Let’s face it: If you’re a working mother, you will develop a highly intimate relationship with your breast pump.

And depending on how many hours you work and how often your baby eats, you could be sitting down with your pump three, four, even five times a day — even more for stay-at-home moms who pump exclusively. So finding the right piece of equipment is of the utmost importance.

We recently had the opportunity to try out the Evenflo Deluxe Advanced Double Electric ($130). Here’s a breakdown of what works well (and what doesn’t):
