Luke Bryan’s Fame Doesn’t Give Him ‘Cool’ Points with His Kids: ‘It Doesn’t Faze Them’

10/03/2016 at 02:15 PM ET

Over the weekend, Luke Bryan played to about 30,000 people in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. If you think his children are impressed, well, think again.

“It’s fun having my boys at the age where if they’re in my truck, I can play them a new song and see if they like it and see what they think about their dad’s newest songs,” he told PEOPLE on Sunday.

His kids — Thomas “Bo” Boyer, 8, and Tatum “Tate” Christopher, 6 — don’t necessarily have a favorite song that their dad sings, but they do have favorite activities.

Still, they understand that a lot people really like their dad, as evidenced by the massive crowd gathered to see him at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Sin City.

Hello, Elmo!

Carrie Underwood‘s son Isaiah had the time of his life over the weekend when the country star and her tot visited Sesame Place, an amusement park featuring all the favorites from Sesame Street, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

In a series of Instagram posts, the proud mom, 33, spent a fun day with her 19-month-old, whom she shares with husband Mike Fisher.

“Since we were in the area…we got the chance to make Isaiah’s day! Thanks, #sesameplace for the fun! We all had a blast!” Underwood wrote in a post, showing her son being greeted by Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Zoe and Count Von Count.

Luke Bryan on Raising Nephew Til After His Brother-in-Law’s Death: ‘We Woke Up and Had a Teenager in Our Midst’

Luke Bryan has learned a few important lessons about parenting a teenager — far sooner than he had expected.

The singer stepped up to care for nephew Til and nieces Kris and Jordan after the sudden death of Bryan’s brother-in-law in 2014. The children’s father had been raising his kids on his own following Bryan’s late sister’s death in 2007.

Bryan and his wife Caroline have since settled into life with 14-year-old Til, who now lives with the family in Nashville. The country crooner calls their blended group “a social experiment” — an “amazing” one, he notes.

“We woke up and had a teenager in our midst, but we love it,” Bryan tells PEOPLE. “It’s nothing but positive. Til is having a blast and I think he’s finally settled in being in Nashville.”

“Dirty Laundry” isn’t just Carrie Underwood‘s latest single: It’s a day-to-day task that doesn’t stop when she’s on tour.

“We travel with a washer-dryer. Doing my own laundry makes me feel like a human,” the 33-year-old country singer tells PEOPLE of life on the road with 18-month-old Isaiah Michael, her son with her NHL player husband Mike Fisher.

In fact, having bits of her everyday life with her on tour is crucial for the seven-time Grammy winner.

“I bring my dogs, which is a little piece of home. And I have a cooking surface on the bus because I like to cook as much as possible. Room service gets old,” adds Underwood, who just resumed her North American portion of The Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round with a show in Anchorage, Alaska, on Wednesday.

‘HFE’! Luke Bryan Posts Sweet Photo of His Sons ‘Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day’

08/04/2016 at 01:15 PM ET

For Luke Bryan, life is imitating art.

In a series of photos the country singer, 40, posted to social media, it seems he has been making the best of the summer weather by taking advantage of some water-focused activities.

“HFE,” is the simple caption accompanying a Wednesday shot of himself and sons Thomas “Bo” Boyer, 8, and Tatum “Tate” Christopher, 6 next week, proudly holding up a fish they caught.

The acronym is a nod to Bryan’s latest hit single to go No. 1: “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”

David Nail on Fertility Struggles Before His Twins: We Felt ‘Like Everything Was Stacked Against’ Us

07/15/2016 at 11:00 AM ET

David Nail became a first-time dad in December to twins Lawson Brent and Lillian Catherine. And now, he’s opening up about the fertility struggles he and wife of seven years Catherine endured on their multiple-year journey toward expanding their family.

“A lot of what we dealt with had to do with me,” admits the country singer, 37, in a video for his website’s #Fighter series, which premiered Wednesday and will lead up to the Friday release of Nail’s album Fighter. “As a man, you definitely don’t want to hear that.”

Aside from Nail’s video — in which he and Catherine discuss their fertility issues and Nail’s past experiences with long-term depression — the six-episode series will run inspirational “fighter” stories from everyday people who have conquered hurdles in their own lives.

The “Night’s On Fire” crooner also recounts his thoughts behind their decision to implant two embryos, regardless of the risk and difficulty involved in potentially having and raising twins.

” ‘It’s been this difficult … if we are so lucky to have two, it may be the only two we ever get,’ ” Nail recalls saying.

It’s no secret that Jake Owen loves to be on the water. It’s also no secret that he loves hanging out with his daughter Olive Pearl  — so it’s no surprise that she picked out the colors of her dad’s newest boat.

Well, almost.

“She wanted pink and blue, although I thought pink and blue might not be the greatest combination,” Owen told PEOPLE at CMA Fest, where he opened the show by coming up to the stage on a boat, in June.

“We stuck with the pink and went pink and silver sparkle flakes.”
