Audrina Patridge is taking the challenges of new motherhood in stride.

The former reality star, 31, welcomed her daughter Kirra Max with fiancé Corey Bohan in June, and she’s still getting used to post-pregnancy life — namely, breastfeeding.

But on Monday, Patridge’s sister Casey Patridge Loza managed to snap a sweet moment of the new mom nursing her baby girl.

“@caseyloza always capturing me in moments #momonthego,” she wrote, referring to her sister, who originally shared the photo of Patridge breastfeeding.

Patridge talked to PEOPLE exclusively about these special — not to mention, difficult — moments as a new mom.

“Breastfeeding was the most painful thing,” she said of nursing her 13-week-old little girl. “For me, it was more painful than the c-section!”

The lifestyle blogger said it took a while to look as serene as she did in the Instagram photo.

“The first two to three weeks were excruciating,” she said. “But I got through it!”

And she had a great helper by her side. “I slept on the couch for a week,” she said. “My grandma came and helped for a week. It was crazy!”

Despite the sleepless nights, Patridge said nothing beats her new role.

“Once I had Kirra, nothing else mattered,” Patridge said of her daughter, who is now sleeping six to seven hours a night. “I didn’t care about the dishes piling up or anything. I just let it go.”

Really? Is this going to be a weekly occurrence now? Whip out a titt and post a picture? It’s not new, been going on for millions of years.

exactly. I breastfed 5 babies and no one cared but my babies. NO ONE CARES.

Pam on

Of course she did.

Another boob story! Yuck!

“Lifestyle blogger”. Code for no one will hire me because I have no actual talent. I’ll just post pictures of my fake tits.

Beautiful! Keep it up mama!

I’m personally loving the Jack Daniels t-shirt while the kid sucks on it.

If it’s painful and excruciating stop. Otherwise stop looking for sympathy and suck it up….no pun intended

Just another excuse to flash a b00b. All moms are on the go and most breastfeed.

Love this! I’d much rather see this than another Kartrashian exposed dumper in my face. To all those haters who are so offended by BFing and images like this, where do you morals lie? Nobody is offended by women in Hollywood showing their breasts in a sexual nature for publicity, but a photo of a BFing mother that shows far less than a cleavage baring dress is offensive? Grow up and move on. It is legal to breastfeed and wonderful that more young women are choosing to do it. If you don’t like it, be an adult, and skim right passed it. You do have the freedom to look the other way. It’s called minding your own business.

No one cares to see your breast, Adrenal.

Good god Hollywood, we DO NOT want to see your boobs!

Just My Opinion on

Yeah, this was a really necessary move. What’s with all these attention seeking moms, feeding your kid is not a big task so no one cares. Plus, why can’t they keep a private moment private?

Giselle posted a similar pic of her breastfeeding her baby girl. Yes its beautiful and natural but it’s been overdone.

Love it! #normalizebreastfeeding
