It’s a girl!

Eddie Murphy is a dad of nine after welcoming a baby girl on the morning of Tuesday, May 3, in Los Angeles, California, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Daughter Izzy Oona Murphy, who arrived weighing 7 lbs., 15 oz., and measured 19½ inches long, is the actor and comedian’s first child with longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher.

“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” according to a statement.

In November, the couple confirmed they had a baby on the way.

Murphy, 55, is also dad to Eric, 26, and Christian, 25, as well as Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13, his children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell, and his 9-year-old daughter Angel with Melanie Brown.

I think that these women who have kids with men who have kids with multiple females are WAY BEYOND STUPID!!! Even if the man can afford the child support.

I know that Eddie needs to put a cap on it, and he can afford the child support, but I think he’s being selfish having a kid at his age. He may not even be alive when the kid reaches at least the fifth grade.

Sure, nine kids are a lot, but….compared to people like the Duggars and their likes, who are extremly irresponsible about the whole thing, this is nothing ( and, considering that Eddie is famous for more than the amount of offspring he produced, his children might even turn out as funny as their dad).
Besides, I think that maybe it’s not so much about untied tubes but the genuine desire to have child together (it’s her first).

@Abby Whether you approve of the Duggars or not, they are a married couple who had all of their children together and have raised them together. Eddie has had 9 kids with what appears to be 5 different women and he was only married to one of them. He denied Angel was even his until DNA tests proved it and Mel B has said many times he doesn’t see his daughter and she doesn’t see her siblings. Whether he can afford the child support or not, it’s disgusting, irresponsible behavior.
