Chris Hemsworth has a daddy dilemma.

In a Monday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 32-year-old actor talks about his young daughter, India Rose, and her envy of her younger twin brothers, Sasha and Tristan.

“She came to me the other day and she was like, ‘Ya know, Papa, I want one of those things that Sasha and Tristan have.’ I’m like, ‘What do you mean?’ She was like, ‘Ya know, the things in between the legs that you have,’ ” Hemsworth recalls, noting that he grappled with how to handle the situation.

“I was like, ‘Oh, um. Well you see. Girls … Girls have breasts.’ ‘I don’t want breasts!’ I was like, ‘Okay. Um. She was like ‘I really want one.’ I was like, ‘A penis?’ She was like, ‘I want a penis!’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Um.’ ”

The studio audience and the host, Ellen DeGeneres, erupts in laughter then applauds when Hemsworth recalls his response to his daughter.

I ❤️ @ChrisHemsworth. What more can I say?!

“I was like — she’s 4 — ‘Ya know what, you can be whatever you want to be.’ And she goes ‘Thanks, Dad!’ Runs off to the playground and that was it,” the actor says.

He adds: “I’ll have to pick that conversation up in a few years time.”

Hemsworth also got the chance to personally thank a boy scout who found the actor’s lost wallet at a restaurant in a “rough” neighborhood and mailed it back to him.

“When I found out it was yours, I looked up at my mom and said ‘Mom! Do you know who this is? We found Thor’s wallet!’ ” Tristin Budzyn-Barker, 17, told Hemsworth.

Not only did Hemsworth let the teen keep the cash in the wallet, the actor also wrote him a thank you letter to help him become an Eagle Scout. On top of that, DeGeneres and Shutterfly rewarded Budzyn-Barker with $10,000 for his college education after learning his family had sold some of their horses to pay for his tuition.

Chris, this does not mean your daughter is trans. Kids have no sense of reality at 4. She see’s her brothers and you and clearly wants to feel included. Please don’t make this more than what it is. When I was 8 I vividly remember wanting to be an X-men. I was really into comics and wanted to be Jean Grey so bad. Does this mean I’m a trans-mutant? Um no, it means I was a kid with a good imagination.

Way to jump to conclusions, JustSayin. I don’t see anywhere in this article where Chris Hemsworth SAID that his daughter was trans. Many girls with brothers have had the same fascination with that particular body part and most of them don’t turn out to be trans. He’s a dad sharing a story. India will likely forget the entire incident. Calm down.

How crazy, why would you tell the whole world this?? TMI, Chris some things are meant to stay within your own family!!

I love it when kids hit you right between the eyes with the simplest questions in their eyes but the hardest questions in yours. The funniest thing about all of this is that because we are caught off guard we stumble and stammer to find an answer before we remember that kids are not that concerned with the correct answer, they just want an answer.

And I was like…..and then she was like….and I’m like….and she’s like…and like can you say this again in English? Like c’mon Dude.

I wanted one too when I was a kid. It was only because I was very active kid who played outside a lot and I noticed that my cousins didn’t have to go inside to pee. They just peed outside on a tree or whatever and I wanted to do that too. Lmao I def don’t want one now

I agree with the guest who said this information should be private and shared among family members only. Just think how this girl will feel in 8 or 10 years knowing that her father told the world this story. Poor kid.

Well, in this day and age, I guess if she wants one, she can have one.

Kids say many unrealistic things this is why parents are there to correct and guide them.

It’s called “penis envy” and it’s written about in child psychology books! My daughter said the same thing and she is as straight as they come.

To those saying that his daughter will be embarrassed when she is older and sees this, I highly doubt it. It will be a story that she and her family will laugh at. Anyone who has kids knows that this is completely normal, especially when they notice that they are different from their siblings and or a parent.
