Balancing blowouts and breastfeeding!

Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kandi Burruss took to Instagram Wednesday to share a glimpse into her life with a newborn — including syncing up her pampering session with her 3-week-old son Ace Wells‘ feeding schedule.

“This #breastfeeding stuff is no joke,” the multitasking mama captioned the shot, which depicts her hair in the middle of being washed as her baby boy nurses.

Burruss, 39, adds, “He doesn’t care that I have a head full of shampoo. He wants to eat now! Lol! Save your negative comments… #KandiKoatedMilk.”

The reality star isn’t the first celeb to share such a snap: In 2013, Gisele Bündchen famously posted a photo to Instagram in which she’s breastfeeding daughter Vivian as her glam squad gets her ready.

But Burruss isn’t the only one doing the feedings, as she’s shared photos of her husband of almost two years, producer Todd Tucker, giving their baby boy a bottle. And in a video posted to Ace’s own Instagram account, the hands-on dad even decides to see what all the fuss is about and does a taste test of his own.

“I’m about to try some breast milk,” Tucker tells the camera as he holds up a bottle. “Ace is probably crying because he wants it, but it’s my time. Let’s see.”

He then takes a sip, smiles, and says, “It’s kinda sweet!”

#NormalizeBreastfeeding

Way to go! Such an inspiration. The CDC has reported that women in minority’ groups and lower income brackets are less likely to breastfeed. Perhaps seeing a prominent woman do so will help encourage more women!

Getting pampered, gorgeous and taking care of the new prince! Love it!

It’s good to breastfeed but why must she put it on social media this is her second breastfeeding pic…I mean we all know women have been breastfeeding since the beginning of time….The generation is so obsessed with attention

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. ANOTHER CELEBRITY EXHIBITIONIST!

BriscoeBuckKnuckle on

The chemical smells in a hair or nail salon is no place for a baby. Sheesh.

Karla on

It is not a big deal at all to breastfeed in public. Or take photos.
But, come one. A tiny little baby in a place like that? Full of chemicals and super loud noises…
Are you serious?
In the end it does look like it was only for attention and media.

Kara on

People selectively told the story. Her Instagram clearly says she is getting her hair washed at home in her home salon. Her hair stylist came to her. This is perfectly fine

Whats the purpose of posting these kind of pics???

I knew their kid would be a tiny, short baby. I doubt he will be over 5 feet tall. Both parents are really short.

Kandi looks great. I was a bit worried because the woman loves to eat. She looked so good during pregnancy as well.

“Why”…what one earth possessed you to post about the size of their baby, or their height, or anything remotely like that? Who cares about their height? If you do, it reflects more on you as a person, than it does on them. You need to examine your values…… I can’t imagine what kind of person would even be concerned about someone’s height, color of their eyes, or any other part of their appearance!

Nothing but class.

Kandi looks nice even though she has full head of shampoo.

First of all, she is at her home and it’s only shampoo. Secondly, @tea7, this is the 2nd picture, so what, what’s the problem! You can’t see anything. Alyssa Milano posts pictures on social medis every other day of her breastfeeding but I’m sure you don’t have a problem with that.

Ooh these are adorable pictures of baby feeding.

I love Kandi!! She is so down to earth and cool. She and Todd are an amazing couple and it’s so wonderful to see them with their baby boy. Anyone who would leave judgmental comments is an idiot. Breastfeeding is natural and of course husbands are curious what the milk tastes like. Mine was. And I tasted it myself – tasted like melted vanilla ice cream. (We) Americans have so many hangups! Chill out, morons.

Kandi’s 3 week old son is so adorable, he has full head of hair already

Aww more and more breastfeeding selfies or photos put on social media.

Awesome she is breastfeeding her baby/no shame, but why are grown men always trying to taste breast milk? That part is a little creepy.
