Inside Jimmy Fallon’s Life with Daughters Winnie and Franny

Jimmy Fallon is one proud papa.
“I just look at photos every second, all day,” he tells PEOPLE of adorable daughters Winnie Rose and Frances Cole.
“You become that annoying guy. I said I would never do that, but now it’s like, ‘Wanna see a picture of my kids?’ I’m even showing it to the cab driver.”
Before welcoming their now 23-month-old daughter Winnie via surrogate in 2013, The Tonight Show host and wife Nancy struggled for five years to have a baby.
“We tried, but it just wasn’t in the cards for us,” says Fallon, 40.
But after bringing home their now 6-month-old daughter Franny in December, the couple couldn’t be happier. “I love it,” he says. “I look forward to every single day.”
Another thing Fallon is really looking forward to? Baby Franny’s first words. “I tried everything, but Winnie’s first word was, ‘Mama,’ ” recalls Fallon.
So this time around, the Saturday Night Live alum is taking matters into his own hands by writing a book with a not-so-subtle title: Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA (available now at dadabook.com).
“Who knows, it might work. I’m not a doctor or a child psychologist, but I think if this works and everyone’s baby’s first words are ‘Dada,’ then maybe there should be a wing in a university dedicated to the science behind it,” jokes Fallon.
And even though he’s going to great lengths to secure those ultra-important first words, he admits even Nancy, 48, is rooting for him.
“I think my wife is throwing me a bone on this one because she’s always like, ‘Oh, Mama loves you, but Dada does too, of course,’ and ‘Dada is here.’ I’m like, ‘All right, you’re saying it too much,’ ” he says.
