Kourtney Kardashian is a big fan of sharing, especially when it comes to her children’s clothing.

Even though her kids’ styles are very different (Mason, 4, is hip and Penelope, 19 months, is more girlie), the designer has no problem dressing up her youngest in her older brother’s hand-me-downs.

“I kept a lot of Mason’s clothes, like little blazers and loafers and I’ve used them on Penelope,” Kardashian told reporters at a tea party on Monday at N.Y.C.’s Soho House to celebrate her new baby line, Kardashian Kids, sold at Babies ‘R Us.

“I’ve even done a full suit for a full menswear look, like a Saint Laurent look.”

Although she has a lot of input on what Penelope wears, the reality star readily admits she doesn’t have a lot of say when it comes to her son.

“He loves to get himself dressed every day and he likes to come out and show us his outfit. And we’re not allowed to have an opinion on any of it,” she explains.

But that doesn’t mean she’s above using tricks.

“Sometimes I’ll try to sway him a little bit. The other day, one of his friends had on a blazer and I said, ‘Remember your friend who wore the blazer,’ and he’s like ‘ Oh yeah,’ and then he’s into it. But it just worked the one time.”

So does her boyfriend Scott Disick get to weigh in on the kids’s fashions?

“He definitely has more say so when we’re dressing Mason over Penelope,” Kardashian shares. “He’s not into bikinis for little girls. But I am.”

Mini two-pieces aren’t the only thing that puts the mom-of-two at odds with her family. Her attachment parenting style also raises eyebrows within the Kardashian clan.

“It’s just what came naturally to me. My family definitely all think I’m insane for having [the kids] in the bed and breastfeeding them for forever. But I couldn’t care less.”

She is ugly and weird.I would never spend any money on there clothes.

People Mag, I hope the Kardsashians are paying you for all the ad space!!! Seriously, every time they are featured here they are trying to promote something. Enough already, no one cares.

delilah on

I wish these twits would disappear.

sar on

I hope babies r us expands the kollection. I would love to see more then just clothing. (Bedding, blankets, toys, teethers, maternity clothes)

Allie on

A “Saint Laurent look” seriously?

My baby cousin is about the same age as Penelope (and a whole heck of a lot cuter) and she wears leggings, tutus, t-shirts, and footie pajamas; nothing menswear inspired. Even if she did have an older brother and did get some of his hand me downs, I’m sure her mom would never put her in anything classified as menswear.

The way that these sisters talk about their kids having an extensive wardrobe and style just makes me think about dolls instead of children.

Lala on

Kim and Kris I can do without. But I do like Kourtney and Khloe. Kourtney has a college degree, and is more realistic and down to earth. She’s also very involved with her kids.

Rachael on

Wayyy to go Kourtney. Confuse your daughter so she can grow up sexually confused like her father. BRAVO!!

desertrat on

I did not realize that toddlers had a “look”

Helen on

Biggest pet peeve… It’s “I COULDN’T care less”!!!!

starapple on

Helen, you couldn’t care less, yet you took time out of your life to read the article AND leave a comment. If you really couldn’t care less, why would you do that?

Heyyyy on

No, dingus, she was saying her pet peeve is the incorrect use of the phrase. As she points out, it’s “could not care less,” not “could care less” as KK said.

Dina on

Ugh, the uglier of the Kartrashian sisters…

Lane on

Sigh….so many negative comments get boring day after day. Yes, I know you like to make the nasty comments but it’s becoming so repetitive. Why not just not bother for a while.

jewels1972 on

Starapple, Helen isn’t saying SHE couldn’t care less…..she is stating that Kourtney said it wrong in the article! Duh! It’s a major pet peeve of mine too when people say “I could care less” when it should be “I COULDN’T CARE LESS”!!

Tara on

Kourtney looks either tired or ill. Is she okay?

Justsayint... on

Items look cute, but I know she just say “yes” or “no” to pieces that are designed by talented creative unknown designers with low wage. And she gets paid a million dollar endorsement for putting K name on the collection. This generation of society really sucks.

Akita on

why not?…she’s my favorite Kardashian…if you can say such a thing…lol!

I agree with Scott little girls should not wear bikinis.

Ladybug72 on

Seriously??? She’s as vapid as the rest of the Kardashians. To have her kids be so focused on clothing at such a young age, like that dingbat Rachel Zoe… 2 piece bikinis for a 2 yr old??? Then again, her sister did have a sweet 16 in Las Vegas. Clearly the morals or lack thereof have been passed down from mom Kris like the apple from the tree. Please go away Kardashians & People magazine, quit printing meaningless crap.

Pam on

I agree that little girls shouldn’t wear bikinis. I also use the attachment parenting style. I want my son to feel loved and close to me and I’ll breastfeed him until he decides he doesn’t want to anymore.

Must be a slow news day.

RCM on

Is this what our society has come down to, complaining about everything under the sun including how the person interviewed used a cliche wrong? I’m always surprised now when I read comments that are actually positive. The only reason I can give for so many negative people making so many negative comments is that these blogs are only used as a stress reliever when people’s own lives are in the toilet. If it’s not “safe” to tell off the actual object of their disdain, these ‘Negative Nellies” transfer their anger onto articles about famous people they never have to answer to. SMH

RCM on

So many haters. SMH

kat on

People magazine stop writing stuff about this annoying family. NO one cares.

Rhonda on

Did they change what Kourtney said in the article because I see “couldn’t care less.”

penny on

sucks to be the ugly sister…

chris on

No it always said “couldnt” some people cant read.

robin on

Fascinating story. Just fascinating. And yes, i am being sarcastic. Why does People feel the need to report such uninteresting news?

nicole on

@Lala, I agree. I like Kourtney.. she’s a good mom

Ann on

At least Kourtney is a hands on mom so good for her and Scott as they seem to be good parents doing all those normal family things…..now these two need to get married giving Scott that security he obviously wants…….

shannon on

No, when the article originally appeared it said “could care less.” It was changed after the mistake was pointed out. Before you insult people, why don’t you make sure of what you’re talking about!

J on

Well we can’t all drink the Kardashian Kool-aid like you seem to, RCM. Watch out with all that judgemental head shaking, you’re gonna give yourself a headache…

anonymous on

So, let me get this straight – I forgot your “fake” sign on name” – anyone who is not a Kardashian fan &/or is not interested in ads posing as articles is a “hater”??? There should be a minimum age requirement for posting here as there seems to be at least 1 12 year old on the loose!

do I look stupid on

OMG this us such a lie. Tgey own a clothing store for christ sake. I doubt they ever wear anything twice let alone do hand me downs. This is jyst a stupid tack to try and look like a down to earth person. Epic fail!!

Jennifer on

@Lala- I agree.

And I have a little girl (my only child) and I take great pride in dressing her. I see no problem with achieving a ‘look’ for your toddler. Fashion is a fabulous thing, and it’s never too early to start teaching your child about colors and textures and patterns. I love to dress my little one in frilly dresses and bows, but she’s also been known to sport a Batman or Superman tee and some leggings and boots. Teaching your child to express themselves through clothing is something a parent can begin and nuture once the child grows old enough to choose for themselves.

I feel bad for the real designers who design and create their lines while these vapid, taste-free trust fund babies rake in cash by slapping their name on it.

Anonymous on

Lala and Nicole- I like Kourtney, too. She seems to be very down to Earth and she seems to really enjoy being a mom. I also like how she’s not afraid to stand up to Kris!

Guest on

The younger one is too young to dress designer clothes because the baby is growing too fast

LenLen on

I see nothing wrong with two piece swim suits for little ones. Come on guys think about how much easier it is for diaper changes with a two piece as opposed to a one piece.
