Eva Amurri Martino Pregnant Expecting Daughter Kevan Brooks/AdMedia

They’re thinking pink!

The baby that Eva Amurri Martino and Kyle Martino are expecting will be a girl, the actress announced Thursday on her WhoSay account.

“Who run the world? GIRLS! #BabyGirlMartino,” the mom-to-be, 28, captioned a photo of her red heels lined up next to a pair of sweet shoes for her daughter.

For his part, Martino noted his first child would never quite follow in his footsteps, but he’s not ruling out a future on the soccer field.

“Found out our child will never be on the @ussoccer team … but may be on the @ussoccer_wnt. #ItsAGirl!!!” he Tweeted.

Amurri Martino — who recently showed off her baby belly at an event — has already started preparing for her daughter’s arrival — albeit a little early.

“The ‘nesting’ thing has kicked in. Seeing as we have five months to go, it’s safe to say s—‘s gonna be REAL organized up in here,” she joked on Twitter.

get over yourself gammiejo and let people define pregnancy as they wish.

Melissa, who are you to say who is beautiful and who is not! And seriously? Do you have such a pathetically limited vocabulary that you had to express yourself so poorly? Rude, rude, rude. SMH Why do you think no one cares about anything other than the same standard of beauty you subscribe to, and that personality and other traits mean nothing?

Congratulations! You will have so much fun with your baby girl.

guest- GammieJo just made a simple statement. No need to jump all over her for it.

She sure gets a lot of attention on here. I have seen her in one mediocre movie and a guest appearance on a TV show. Her publicist (or her momma’s) must be friends with someone at PEOPLE.

I personally have always thought that Eva blossomed into a beautiful young woman and can’t believe that people are calling her ugly but calling someone ugly for no apparent reason says more about the person that the insult is coming from more than anything 🙂 She’s not your typical blonde, blue-eyed beauty and has a unique look. Perhaps the Negative Nancies here should be more focused on themselves and their own lives instead of worrying about how Eva scored such a handsome hubby and hating her for doing so. I wish Eva, her husband and their growing family all the best 🙂

I completely agree, GammieJo! I was actually coming on here to comment the same thing. It’s strange when articles say the baby “will be” this gender or that gender. Even stranger when articles say “baby-to-be.” They already are a specific gender, early on, and they don’t just become real when they’re born, either. Seems silly but it bugs!

Jenno- PEOPLE posts on virtually all celebrities (at least the ones here in the U.S. It’s true that they don’t report as much on celebs from other countries unless they’re really well known here as well). Besides that, even if Eva wasn’t a celeb in her own right, she IS still the daughter of one. 🙂
