It’s a party of three for Jennifer Love Hewitt!

The actress and her husband (yes, they secretly wed!), actor Brian Hallisay “are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter Autumn James Hallisay,” her rep tells PEOPLE.

Baby girl was born on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The couple, who met on the Lifetime show The Client List, decided to keep the sex a surprise, celebrating with a gender-neutral baby shower in October.

One thing that wasn’t a surprise for the former Party of Five star was the realization that being a parent would be one of her greatest roles in life.

“I lost my mom a little less than a year and a half ago to cancer. Obviously, I got very lucky that even though I lost my mother, I lost her later in life, but it’s still had a profound effect on me,” Hewitt told PEOPLE in September.

“I’ve always wanted to be a mom,” she said. “I had a great relationship with mine. I’m ready to pass on to my child all the great love that my mom had for me.”

The show is not coming back. She would only sign for season 3 if her character could stop dating, stop messing with evan and be a lovey dovey family with her Brian’s character. She is the reason his character had a full time roll last season. He was supposed to stay gone and she was supposed to get serious with evan. She wouldn’t even do season 2 unless it was that way even though she was aware fans wanted her with evan’s character (bc he is got and the acting is good). Google it. This is all fact.

Great name! When did she get married? Not so sure about losing her mother “late in life,” but of course it’s all relevant; Madonna and Rosie lost theirs much earlier; but my mom is 90.

Her child will be so grateful not to be one of 10,000 Jennifers. And autumn is THE best of the four seasons.

Best wishes. I find a new baby helps with the grief of losing a parent. I lost my father when I was 24. I got pregnant 3 months after my father died. I was married and in graduate school. The marriage didn’t last, but I obtained my Master’s Degree when my daughter was 7 months old. Having a baby and going to graduate school helped me be grounded during my bereavement.
