Jaime King has her own little prince!

The Hart of Dixie star and her husband Kyle Newman welcomed son James Knight Newman on Sunday, Oct. 6, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz.

“Mom and baby are happy, healthy and are doing great,” King’s rep tells PEOPLE.

In May, the actress, 34, and Newman, a director, revealed they were expecting their first child. The former model gave fans a glimpse as to how she was keeping cool throughout the summer months, sharing a picture of herself in a bikini showing off her budding belly.

Prior to her baby boy’s arrival, King was showered with love during an August Star Wars-themed party, complete with a cute — and very creative — cake.

“It’s amazing how much joy this baby has already brought Kyle and me,” King said at the shower. “We are touched by the support and love of all our friends and family.”

Her name is Jamie but she also went by James when she was modeling, it was a childhood nickname

I think she used to be called James King when she was a model and then changed it back to her birth name Jaime.

It is so refreshing to see someone actually get married before having a baby. It is so sad how we are constantly praising all these starts having baby’s with their boyfriend . What ever happened to commitment and family values?

There are more and more celebs using “normal” names, yet someone always sas…”finally….. normal name!” as if every celeb named their child Rocket Science or whatever. Not everyone names their child Pilot Inspektor or something similar. Hope they can stay married more than a year; kids kind of enjoy their parents getting along…….
