Jaime King and husband Kyle Newman celebrated the upcoming October arrival of their son with a baby shower at Soho House in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Star Wars-themed bash was also star-studded, with Jessica Alba, Selma Blair and Ashley Madekwe in attendance, along with King’s Hart of Dixie costars Rachel Bilson, Wilson Bethel and Claudia Lee.

King, who wore an Asos Maternity dress with pastel flowers and lace details, is quite proud of her own baby bump, and was spotted affectionately rubbing the belly of fellow mom-to-be Teresa Palmer.

The actress took the opportunity to give a heartfelt thanks to her guests. “It’s amazing how much joy this baby has already brought Kyle and me,” she said. “We are touched by the support and love of all our friends and family.”

During the party, guests snacked on appetizers and sipped champagne while King, 34, opened gifts for the baby, including a Nuna highchair. The actress also received a diaper cake from Alba’s own line, The Honest Company.

Bilson was spotted getting crafty in the DIY area where guests could write personal messages on little cloth squares for the happy couple to take home.

King was overheard joking around with Bethel, “It’s baby city right now! You’re next!”

if i was a celebrity, i wouldn’t open or accept gifts. i would ask that my guests donate to a charity, in lieu of gifts.

Agree w/ Ann….the cake is very cheesy!!! It looks like a family member or friend w/ very lil experience tried to make it! If I was the couple I would of been very disappointed and I love Star Wars!!!

I don’t even know who this couple is but they are very cute together. She looks very pretty and sweet in her dress. Think back to last week of that picture of Fergie in that horrible dress she had on!

Ok, so we can’t moan about Kim K anymore so lets go after Jaimie’s cake or Fergie’s dress. Really? Just be happy for her, ok? If not, don’t read AND don’t write. Simple as that! And yes she’s a celebrity but why does she have to give her stuff to charity? She does’nt make 20 Million a movie and those gifts we’re bought for HER by family and friends. I say enjoy!! 🙂

Aw I think this sounds like a sweet celebration, very down-to-earth by HWood standards. They look cute and happy 🙂 I like their pocket square idea. Cant wait to for Heart of Dixie to start back! I love her and Rachel both! Super cute show.
