It’s a boy for Craig Ferguson and wife Megan.

Son Liam James Ferguson was born Monday, Jan. 31 in Los Angeles, a rep for The Late Late Show host confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

“Everyone is happy and healthy,” says the rep. “The family is doing great, everybody’s perfect.”

Ferguson, 48, and his wife, an art dealer, tied the knot in December 2008.

Ferguson is already dad to Milo Hamish, 9, his son from a previous marriage.

Aww! I was actually just thinking about them the other night! I love his show! I’m not too fond of the name Liam, it’s becoming too popular. But at least it’s normal! Congratulations to Craig, Megan, and Milo!

Mallory on

Was kind of hoping he’d have a girl, but I love the name Liam! Congrats to the family!

soph on

What’s abnormal to you, Taylor?

Ashley on

Megan’s really pretty 🙂 Congrats!

ELO on

Congrats to them! I love their name choice!

Soph- I think abnormal would be something like Pilot Inspektor, Peanut, Buddy Bear Maurice, or Audio Science.

Bree on

I have a Liam so I’m partial to the name, but right when I thought it’s popularity was on its way down it’s shot up!

Congratulations to them! I love the name Liam.

So glad that all went well with the birth. Glad that Milo is a big brother. Glad Craig has another reason to be up Late, Late other than to watch his own show. Congratulations, Megan! Get Liam on oatmeal and cereal ASAP so you can get some sleep.

I’ve always loved the name Liam! too bad it’s becoming so popular!

Chrystal on

My son’s name is Liam. It is IRISH meaning, Unwavering Protector. The way I see it a name’s meaning is more important than popularity, and if you like it, you like it.

Liam Vincent. I love my son’s name, couldn’t think of anything better. 🙂

He is Irish isn’t he? So…that makes sense that he picked an Irish name.

mks on

@Chrystal Craig is Welsh

Congrats to the Ferguson family!

kiwibaby on

Congratulations Craig & Megan! I love your show, & I’m so happy for you on the arrival of master Liam. 🙂

Kyla on

I thought he was Scottish. He was born in Glasgow.

Nina on

mks, Craig is Scottish, as you would know if you had ever watched his show. He talks about Glasgow and Scotland in general all the time. For cryin; out loud, can’t you tell his accent is Scottish? Sheesh! If he were Welsh, you couldn’t understand a word that came out of his mouth.

mks on

@Nina I made a mistake, no need to attack me. The purpose of this site is not to attack your fellow posters even if they make a mistake. And it is most definitely not so that posters like you can make such statements as you did that attack a whole group of people.

If you had only made rude statements towards me I would have left your comments unrecognized, but since you decided to attack the whole Welsh population and how they speak for no apparent reason I felt like I needed to remind you of this purpose of this site.

What is important is that Craig and Megan had a healthy baby boy and we should be using these comments to congratulate them and wish them the best, and so that is what I wish for them.

Any true fan of Craig Ferguson knows he’s Scottish and born in Glasgow. He’s now an American citizen. Being Welch, I’m a bit offended about what Nina said, as those from Wales speak English as well as Welch, which is a beautiful language. You should just be congratulating Craig and Megan, not insulting other posters. Lovely name for the new baby, too!

Deb on

I love the name Liam, whether it’s popular or not. And, to clarify, Craig’s Scottish on his father’s side and Irish on his mother’s side. But, he was born in Scotland.

Congrats to the Ferguson family!!

Mia on

I used to love watching Craig Ferguson, but his show has become absolutely filthy! I no longer watch it…still, I am glad the baby is healthy. Hope he becomes a better role model for his children.

I am so happy for craig and megan congratulations on your new son god bless you all,,I love craig ferguson and his show He is so witty smart and talented and very handsome congrats again!

joan fasel on

this is for mia craigs show is not filthy it is an adult show and if it bothers you you can change the channel by the way this is supposed to be where you can congratulate the fergusons on their new son not to express your ill feelings Thank you!

Allison on

Considering the show comes on at 12:37am, I think it’ll be several years yet before Milo & Liam are regular viewers of their Dad’s show. It’s all in the eye of the beholder, I guess, but filthy is not what I’d call the show. Now ‘saucy’? Definitely! 🙂 Having said that, Craig ALREADY IS a fine role model for his children. He’s intelligent, imaginative, funny, irreverent, curious about the world and down-to-earth. His interviews with Dr. Cornel West & Archbishop Desmond Tutu, for example, are remarkable pieces of broadcasting. The man can move from a fart joke or a puppet to a poignant or philosophical insight in the blink of an eye. His fans know that he’s long wanted to have more children – and I can think of nothing lovelier than a man who loves being a father & adores his children. Liam, Milo and Mrs. Ferguson are very lucky in my book! Congrats, Craig and Megan!

I watch Craig every night, and record it if I have to. I have
read his book, and he was blessed to have what he has now. I don’t
find anything wrong with his wording of anything. Most people find
him hilarious and that’s why we continue to watch the show. There
are times when he catches you off guard and really comes out with
something so unexpected, and he starts laughing and I have to too
My kids like Saturday Night Live.I said I’ve never thought much of
that show, but Craig I’ll stay up for.He really entertains me,and
that’s what I enjoy.I wish they’d give him a better set and a
festive look for the holidays.Love and best wishes to all,
A very happy craig fan,Marjorie Havlicek.Chicago,Ill.
