Javier Bardem Saves The Day For Josh Brolin's Children

The friendship between actors Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem — which first formed during the shooting of No Country for Old Men — has paid off in spades, for Josh’s two children Trevor, 20 and Eden, 15. During a Tuesday appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, Josh revealed that the kids recently completed a train and backpacking tour of Europe; the first stop on their trip was Amsterdam, necessitating a father-son chat about drugs. "I looked at my son and said ‘Alright, do you hear me?" the 40-year-old actor said while jokingly simulating someone smoking pot, to which Trevor reportedly replied "I hear ya, loud and clear man!’" When brother and sister found their funds running low, they called their dad — who in turn called Javier in Spain.
"They said we have $7 left, so I sent them a little bit of money and got them to Javier, and Javier and [girlfriend] Penelope [Cruz], on my son’s birthday, took them on their last leg of the trip and showed them Madrid during the playoffs for the World Cup. He’s a wonderful guy."
Trevor and Eden are Josh’s children with ex-wife Alice Adair. He is also step-father to Eleanor Jasmine, 15, with wife Diane Lane. Josh’s latest film, W, is in theaters Friday.
