Michael Phelps Shares Adorable Photo of Son: ‘Boomer Says What’s Up Y’all!’
It seems Michael Phelps is taking his new role as a dad just as seriously as his upcoming Rio prospects.
The swimmer, who holds a total of 22 Olympic medals, welcomed son Boomer Robert with fiancée Nicole Johnson just four weeks ago. Since then, the couple have been posting photos of little Boomer’s first few weeks, proudly showing off their new son.
On Sunday — which marked one month since Boomer’s birth — Phelps posted a selfie of himself and his son lying in bed, with Boomer staring at the camera with a seemingly curious expression.
“Boomer says what’s up y’all!!!” Phelps, 30, playfully captioned the shot.

Phelps also shared a cozy looking photo of Boomer lying on his chest and gazing at his mom, who is pictured snoozing happily next to her main men.
“Nothing like being home with the family!!!” he wrote, tagging Johnson.

Boomer is the first child for both Phelps and the former Miss California, 30. The pair dated off and on beginning in 2007, went their separate ways in 2011, but rekindled their relationship in 2014 before getting engaged in February 2015.
